The Caribbean Festival Parade in Jersey City, New Jersey this past Saturday was smokin' (literally)!  However, extreme summer heat was no match for the high spirits of Jersey City citizens, and others who attended to celebrate mixed cultures and Jersey City Pride with dancing,  merriment, joy and happiness all around for people from all walks of life and cultures in the Grand Melting Pot that is Jersey City, New Jersey . We were entertained by the diversity of cultural dance, food and entertainment straight from the Caribbean and West Indies.

Unfortunately, summer weather called for a whoppin’ 105 degree heat that felt more like 500 degrees standing directly in the sun.

It was all worth it in the end because there was no other greater reward than watching people smiling, waving, and blowing kisses at us for representing their beloved city in the parade that proceeded from One Lincoln Park all the way down to City Hall  on Grove Street.
